The Phillips Group Golf Classic

This year’s Phillips Group Golf Classic raised $56,500 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Central Pennsylvania Chapter. The event took place Aug. 13 at Blue Ridge Country Club in Harrisburg.
Two Phillips employees have children with cystic fibrosis, an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States. For more information about cystic fibrosis, visit www.cff.org.
Steve McNally, major account manager for Phillips, was the golf committee chairman. He also serves on the board of directors of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Central Pennsylvania Chapter.

PHILLIPS GROUP HONORED BY PENNSYLVANIA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD

The HQ 166th Regiment, Regional Training Institute, recently presented Phillips with a certificate of appreciation for excellence. Phillips has provided office supplies and office furniture to the Pennsylvania Army National Guard for a number of years; the certificate recognizes the period since August 2007.

"Your outstanding dedication and commitment to the mission of the 166th Regiment, RTI and the Pennsylvania Army National Guard demonstrates your patriotism, and reflects favorably upon your organization and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania," read the certificate, signed by Col. Jeffery A. Jahnke, commander.

PHILLIPS GROUP BECOMES FIVE-TIME WINNER OF ELITE DEALER AWARD PRESENTED BY OFFICEDEALER MAGAZINE

The Phillips Group, central Pennsylvania's leading independent office products company, has been named an Elite Dealer by OfficeDEALER magazine.

This marks the fifth time that Phillips has received the honor in the 22-year history of the award program. Each year, the magazine presents the award to the top office equipment, office products and office furniture dealers in the United States. The award is based on a company's sales and marketing, customer service and community involvement.

Phillips is one of only 110 dealers selected in 2009 from a record number of entries. OfficeDEALER is a national publication with more than 12,000 subscribers.

PHILLIPS GROUP MOVING YORK OFFICE TO IMPROVE CUSTOMER RESPONSE TIMES

To 1600 Sixth Ave., Spring Garden Township

(June 8, 2009) - The Phillips Group, central Pennsylvania's leading independent office products company, plans to relocate its York office as of July 1.
Phillips will relocate to 1600 Sixth Ave., Suite 108A2, in Spring Garden Township from its current location in the Susquehanna Commerce Center, 221 W. Philadelphia Street, York. The move puts the York office close to Interstate 83 and Route 30, allowing Phillips to further improve response times when calling on customers in York and Adams counties. "Customer service is the focal point of the move," said Mike Kirwin, who manages the York office. "Our sales consultants and service technicians will be able to respond faster. It is always our No. 1 priority to enhance the Phillips customer experience." The York office has 15 employees representing each of Phillips' three divisions: office supplies, office furniture and document management products.

Two additions to its document management staff:

Eric Hawkins is a document management consultant serving Berks County. He joined Phillips with five years of business-to-business sales experience in the telecommunications industry. He lives in Mountville.

Shana Shirey is a document management consultant serving Franklin and Fulton counties. She graduated from Shippensburg University with a bachelor's degree in sales and marketing. She lives in the Shippensburg area.

PHILLIPS AWARDED FURNITURE CONTRACT FOR HARRISBURG UNIVERSITY

The Phillips Group has been awarded a contract to provide interior furnishings for Harrisburg University of Science and Technology's new Academic Center. The furniture will be used in classrooms, conference rooms, waiting areas, the library and other areas in the 16-story Academic Center, 326 Market St., Harrisburg. Harrisburg University offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in applied science and technology fields. 

GOLF CLASSIC RAISES $61,505 FOR CYSTIC FIBROSIS FOUNDATION

The Phillips Group Golf Classic raised $61,505 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Central Pennsylvania Chapter. The amount included a $10,000 contribution from The Phillips Group, which has supported the event for the past decade and has been title sponsor for the past four years. Ninety-six golfers participated in the event, which took place Aug. 11 at Colonial Country Club in Harrisburg. Phillips donates Local Breast Cancer Charity

Phillips held an employee fund-raiser luncheon on Sept. 18 that was attended by Leigh Hurst, a Middletown native, breast cancer survivor and founder of Feel Your Boobies. 

Phillips donates to HACC

The Phillips Group recently donated $30,000 to Harrisburg Area Community College.
