HACC - Gettysburg Campus

Square Footage: 88,000
Students: 1600

The Gettysburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania‘s Community College, was established in 1989 as the Gettysburg Center. The school moved to its current location in a former shopping plaza in 1997 and became a regional campus two years later.

At HACC, students can fulfill general education courses in preparation for transfer to a four-year college, or they can complete diplomas, certificates and Associate Degree programs in a variety of career fields. More than 1600 students of all ages are enrolled for credit classes at the HACC Gettysburg Campus.

To keep pace with rapidly growing enrollments and programs, HACC Gettysburg Campus has implemented a continuing series of renovation and expansion projects. The most recent and the most ambitious project transformed a series of vacant storefronts into inviting new student centered spaces.

The campus transformation incorporates an innovative Learning Commons which integrates library services, instructional technology and academic support resources in a comfortable learning environment; and a spacious new student commons that features striking designs, vivid colors, and versatile spaces for college and community gatherings.

The Phillips Group worked closely with HACC to plan comfortable, flexible furnishings and to select fabrics and finishes which complement existing furniture and enhance the new spaces.
